The solid cedar top gives emphasis to the low-mids, which makes the sound warm and clear. Cedar also generates those high-end harmonics, which give the sound its sparkle.

The delicately scalloped top fan braces insure the structural integrity of the top, and allow it to resonate more freely. This gives the players the ability to create dramatic changes in dynamics and tone. The rosewood sides and back give the sound exceptionally strong bass and overall power, compared to the Mahogany side and back models which get a more evenly balanced sound from the mahogany.
